“LOOK AT THAT!”
Ruth likes to play Scratch-its for fun once in a blue moon. But when she saw our promotion for a Win for Life BOGO offer, she decided to take a chance on this new-to-her jackpot game. So she picked up a few tickets at her local Fred Meyer that weekend, and waited to see what the Saturday drawing would bring.
One by one, Ruth scanned her tickets on the Oregon Lottery app (smart thinking, Ruth!) and was delighted to find that she had won $2 with one of her tickets. Little did she know that her final ticket was really saving the best for last!
When the app’s celebration animation popped up after scanning her last ticket, Ruth saw that she’d won the jackpot. Near speechless, she ran to the living room to her husband, Ed, and sister, and could only point to her phone, yelling “LOOK AT THAT!” They immediately shared in her excitement on her $52,000 a year win.
Ruth and Ed plan on using the jackpot to pay off some bills and remodel their home. But they’ll also make time for a little fun. They want to take a trip to Cancun, a place they’ve visited before and have been itching to go back to ever since. And to top it all off, the happy couple are celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary this year, making their $52,000 a year win that much sweeter.
