Here’s a new take on an old joke: Why did Kelli cross the road? To win more than $9500!
Kelli lives in lovely Wallowa but was in La Grande with her husband for his bowling tournament. While they were on the road, they were also planning to head West to Wilsonville to claim a previous prize of about $1,600 that Kelli had won some weeks back.
Though she’s been a big fan of Hermiston Cash Melons, the game that honors Eastern Oregon’s sweetest crop, her recent win had come from a new game, Las Vegas Cash Eruption. While they were traveling, she decided to give it another spin.
Instead of staying on the sidelines while her husband knocked down the pins, she walked across the street from the bowling alley to the Long Branch, a local watering hole, to see if Cash Eruption would explode again. And it did! This time, she’d won nearly $8000, bringing her grand total to $9595.
Kelli said she’s still processing the win(s), so she doesn’t have big plans yet. Wherever she goes, though, she said she’s definitely bringing her husband with, because she always feels like a winner when they’re together.
