Joe has some good reasons to celebrate his recent Keno 8-spot win. “I started playing Keno at the beginning of this year and hit the 7 spot four times before finally hitting the 8-spot jackpot!” Joe won $68,000 playing Keno at The Store, in Medford. Joe owns The Store, along with Star Catering and Joe’s Bar and Grill in Medford.
In the summer, Joe’s catering business is known for feeding the firefighters that help control some of the wildfires Medford is known for, and he hopes this will be his last season before he officially passes management on to his daughter. Joe hopes to do some more traveling in the RV he recently bought.
And what does Joe plan to do with his winnings? “We’re going to pay the taxes we owe on our businesses.” Joe was getting ready to file for an extension for his business taxes, as all three of his restaurants have been impacted by the economic downturn caused by COVID-19. “Now we don’t have to anymore,” Joe said.
