Give Tryon Creek Nature Center a Try
Tryon Creek State Natural Area is a sprawling 658-acre urban forest full of undeveloped wilderness and miles of trails. The Nature Center at the park is a hub for hands-on learning and community. It’s home to classes, exhibits and a nature store, as well as a launching off point for hikes.
An investment of Oregon Lottery dollars is helping renovate the beloved building with new exhibits, a more well defined store space, additional classrooms and better lobby visibility. The Nature Center will also be ADA compliant, with new entry doors and bathrooms..
Originally a pioneer claim from 1850, Tryon Creek State Natural Area has transformed into a community-minded destination for hikers, bicyclists and equestrians. With help from Oregon Lottery funds, Oregon State Parks and Friends of Tryon Creek, it continues to do good things for the community.
