A New Bridge Brings Clackamas County Together

The Cazadero Trail in Clackamas County is one of Oregon’s “rails to trails” projects. What was once a rail line for the Oregon Water Power and Railway Company is now a six-mile trail running from Boring to Barton. But a break in the trail at Goose Creek made it impossible to use the entire length of the trail, a frustration for many of the its users. Thanks to Oregon Lottery dollars, a new bridge will be installed at the creek to finally complete the connection.

Once the bridge project is finished, the Cazadero Trail will give bicyclists, runners, equestrians and walkers trails that connect all the way from from Portland to Estacada. Those miles of trails provide people with more opportunity to get out of their cars and use a trail-friendly mode of transportation to get to work. When you play Lottery games, you’re doing good things for trails, parks and the people who use them, all over Oregon.
