Sept. 23, 2015 - Salem, Ore. – Portland area Oregon Lottery prize winners will soon have a closer, more convenient option to redeem their prizes.
The Lottery will open a new Wilsonville Payment Center on Thurs., Oct. 1. The payment center, located at 9760 SW Wilsonville Road just off exit 283 on Interstate 5 will pay prizes less than $50,000. Prizes of $50,000 and greater must be redeemed at the Lottery office in Salem.
“Lottery records indicate that over 50 percent of prize payments at the Lottery’s Salem office are paid to players from the Portland metro area,” said Oregon Lottery Director Jack Roberts. “Providing a closer alternative for those players is a win-win for both the players and Lottery.”
Hours for the Wilsonville Payment Center are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets on April 25, 1985, it has paid its players more than $28 billion in prizes. In that same period, the Lottery has earned nearly $10 billion for economic development, public education, state parks and watershed enhancements.
