The Future Sounds Old
The Jetsons™ may have only lasted one season when they first hit the small screen in 1962, but in 1985 the show re-emerged. With a new audience and a new “pet alien” named Orbity the show was revamped, but the original voice cast remained. Voice talent had aged 20 years, making the voices behind Jane, George and Mr. Spacely more than twice the age of the characters. Audiences didn’t seem to notice the 70- and 80-year-old set of pipes behind their favorite futuristic family.
