Sept. 15, 2015 - Salem, Oregon

Since 1998, over $1 billion in Oregon Lottery funds have gone to improve and expand our state parks, enhance watersheds and restore salmon habitat. These facts make the Lottery’s 12-year partnership with the SOLVE Beach & Riverside Cleanup a natural.

This year’s SOLVE Beach & Riverside Cleanup takes place Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015. It is part of the International Coastal Cleanup and National Public Lands Day and has been a family-friendly Oregon tradition for over three decades.

“Oregonians take great pride in their state,” said Oregon Lottery Director Jack Roberts. “SOLVE events such as the Beach & Riverside Cleanup are ways for Oregonians to come together and demonstrate that pride. The Oregon Lottery is honored to be a long-time supporter of SOLVE and the work that they do across the state.”

In addition to their support of SOLVE over the years, Oregon voters in 1998 approved constitutional amendments directing over $1 billion in Lottery funds to Oregon state parks, watershed enhancement and salmon habitat restoration.

Since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets on April 25, 1985, it has earned nearly $10 billion for economic development, public education, state parks and watershed enhancements.
