Building furniture in Oregon for the world’s largest furniture retailer
IKEA invited Mastercraft to compete against more than 20 other manufacturers to build the proprietary IKEA line of sofas and chairs sold across the globe. After a two-year selection process, Mastercraft earned a signed contract in 2010. With help from Oregon Lottery® funds, Mastercraft Furniture, a family-owned business in Stayton, is hand-making sofas and chairs for IKEA, the world's largest furniture retailer, growing the area’s economy and keeping 100 new jobs right where they belong. It’s work that could have gone anywhere in the world—and that makes us even prouder to see it land in the hands of skilled Oregonians.
