In preparation for new Powerball enhancements, consecutive draws must be reduced with every draw until the start of the new and improved Powerball game.
- Beginning July 11, 2015, there will only be 24 drawings before the game change. After each drawing, there will be one fewer consecutive draw available.
- On October 3, 2015, Powerball will be unavailable after the draw. Sales will resume Sunday, October 4, 2015, at 5 a.m.

Every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 PM, Powerball numbers are drawn from two sets of numbers. Five white balls are drawn from one set of 59 numbered balls. One red power ball is drawn from a second set of 35 numbered balls.

How To Play
Go to any Lottery retailer and ask for a Powerball Quick Pick or pick up a game slip at any Lottery retailer and fill it out.
Give your completed Powerball game slip to your Lottery retailer or insert it into a player-operated terminal along with money to buy your ticket.
When players add Power Play® (for an additional $1) and match 5 white balls, they will win $2 million! The Power Play option also offers other set prizes from $8-$50,000.
You have the option to play your numbers for the following consecutive draws:
- Game Slip - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 or 20.
- Terminal - 1 through 24.

There is a period of time on drawing days that Powerball tickets cannot be purchased or validated. That time is every Wednesday and Saturday from 7:00-8:15 PM.

Did you win? Congratulations! Prizes up to and including $600 may be claimed at a Lottery retailer, or claimed by mail via a winner claim form. All prizes over $600 or more must be claimed at the Lottery office in Salem.
When Powerball jackpot prize winners come to the Lottery to claim their prize, they have the option of choosing between cash or annuity payments. The one-time cash payment will be approximately half the advertised jackpot amount. The annuity payment is paid in 30 annual installments (less required federal and Oregon state tax witholding).
