Portland Couple Wins $10.5 Million Megabucks Jackpot

Phu and Brenda Lieu are the most recent Oregon Lottery Megabucks jackpot winners having claimed their $10.5 million prize from the Oct. 2 Megabucks drawing.
The couple claimed their prize on Oct. 4 at the Lottery office in Salem and split the jackpot prize. Phu opted for the one-time cash payment for his portion of the prize. Before taxes, he received a $5,250,000 prize payment. Brenda chose to receive her prize in yearly installments over 25 years. Her first payment, before taxes, was $210,000. Phu manually selected his numbers when he purchased his winning ticket at 7-Eleven #17959 located at 4250 NE 122nd in Portland.
Since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets on April 25, 1985, it has earned over $8 billion for economic development, public education, state parks and watershed enhancements.
