Oregon Lottery® Appoints New Chief Operating Officer
September 09, 2011 - Salem, Ore. -
Oregon Lottery® Director Larry Niswender is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Clontz as Deputy Director-Chief Operating Officer for the Oregon Lottery. He will assume his role with the Lottery on September 12, 2011.
“I am excited to have Jon join the Lottery’s Management Team,” said Niswender. “He has excellent leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of success in the private sector as well as government service.”
Clontz comes to the Lottery from the State of Washington Department of Veterans Affairs where he has served as Chief of Operations for the past five years. He also served as Superintendent of Washington’s largest Veteran’s Home. A veteran of the United State Army, Clontz has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from The Evergreen State College and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from St. Martins University. He has attended Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
